Gold prices mark lowest finish month to date

Gold prices fell for a third-consecutive session Wednesday. They marked the lowest settlement so far this month as a key gauge of the U.S. dollar, the ICE U.S. Dollar Index DXY, +0.62% set its sights on the biggest weekly percentage gain year to date.
